“ Having recently moved to the area, I was very keen to try the best place in town! I was far from disappointed. Everything was delicious on both our plates. A small menu which no doubt keeps the quality up. Friendly and unstuffy service. I'll be sure to bring all my visitors here! ”
“ Second time visiting creeping thyme, the first being in their original Bovey Tracey location, this time at their new premises at Seale Hayne. The new setting is absolutely beautiful; the little bar area being dark and cosy and the restaurant being light and airy and sophisticated, the grand piano being a beautiful addition to the space. The service was super friendly and relaxed, and as we were there for a birthday we were offered a celebratory drink which was very kind and unexpected. The food was absolutely phenomenal, every morsel on every plate being perfectly cooked with amazing flavour, and each dish as a whole was expertly balanced by a very talented chef. I really hope Creeping Thyme thrives in its new location as this place deserves to be booked out weeks in advance. So happy there is finally a nice high end restaurant in the Newton Abbot area and we'll definitely be back. ”
“ We really enjoyed our visit here at Creeping Thyme; we came up for a last minute booking looking to try local places and we weren't disappointed! We were greeted by Dawn who was lovely and welcoming, made sure we were comfy and got us sorted. We had starters and mains and they were all really excellent, I loved my duck starter and the burger was phenomenal The music was low key and appropriate - not too loud! My partner had the salmon and the arancini and both were exceptional. No hesitation in returning! We look forward to more delicious food when we return. ”
“ Found creeping thyme on instagram and as we were staying in Exmouth thought we would give it a try. My daughter is a bit fussy so I dropped them a message on instagram and asked if they could do one of the bar snacks as a main and Louis was great and said no issue. From the moment you arrive out side it’s such a great setting to restaurant it’s self. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been nicer to talk to and accommodated our daughter very well. The food we had was fantastic and never felt like we were rushed or waiting long between service. 100% worth the visit and when we are staying in Exmouth again we will definitely be booking again. Thank you for a wonderful evening ”
“ Creeping thyme what can I say they see you eat with your eyes and my goodness it was beautifully presented and tasted even better. Every course cooked to perfection and yes we managed 3 courses. All local fresh ingredients and Tom and Louis are so friendly and professional absolute delight to dine here. The little bar is beautiful for pre or after dinner drinks or both cocktails are stunning just ask Tom to surprise you with his choice today’s was so good. We cannot think of any other restaurant where we have had better food and we do like to eat out a lot thankyou so much look forward to returning. ”
“ Desperately sad this place is to close. We've been fans from when it was in Bovey and not been out to Seale Hayne which I guess is part of the problem. The chef is a real talent, with particular expertise at starters and mains in our view. The food was superb, not least the amuse bouche which was one of the best arancini I've tasted. Starters of chorizo croquettes and wild mushrooms, with perfectly cooked and well balanced beef fillet and venison for main. Wonderful cooking and glorious presentation. We were well looked after by Tia who was friendly, welcoming and professional. All in all, another brilliant experience from this talented team and we wish them the very best of luck for whatever comes next. It has been a lucky privilege to enjoy their food and hospitality. ”
